Beverly McArthur

Bev McArthur was introduced to Stott Pilates® after childbirth exacerbated her degenerative disc disease and lower back problems. The discovery of Pilates proved to be transformative for her overall well-being.

It alleviated her pain and increased her mobility. As a professional classical singer, she also noticed a significant improvement in her breath control for singing. Inspired by these benefits, Bev pursued instructor training and earned her certification.

With 16 years of teaching experience, Bev is certified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates. (See below). She is deeply committed to her ongoing professional development. She participates in continuing education to maintain her Stott Pilates® certification and expand her expertise. Over the years, she has added Total Barre and ZEN•GA (fascial work) to her repertoire. This has enhanced her ability to offer a comprehensive fitness experience.

Bev believes Pilates is a versatile workout that caters to everyone, from those in recovery to seasoned athletes. She is dedicated to helping her clients build strength and stamina. She also ensures they enjoy every step of their fitness journey.


• Mat Pilates is a practice focused on improving coordination, strength, balance, and posture. It achieves this through a targeted series of full-body exercises.

• Reformer Pilates combines the traditional principles and movements of mat Pilates with a Reformer machine. This machine contains a foot bar, carriage, and pulleys. It also has five springs of varying tension. These can be adjusted to suit your fitness level or needs.

• Total Barre is a predominantly standing workouts are driven by a carefully chosen music playlist. Music has proven to increase coordination and motivation to fully execute the movements. Total Barre pays attention to the correct biomechanics of movement.

• ZEN•GA is a unique mind-body modality. It fuses elements of Pilates, yoga, martial arts and meditation into a series of flowing movements. These movements emphasize the breath and strengthen both body and mind. Using props and equipment, ZEN•GA workouts are playful yet powerful. They emphasize smooth transitions and intention of the movements. They also focus on the personal physical effects of movement paired with deep breathing.
