Happy International Tap Dance Day 2023
International Tap Dance Day was signed into American law by George W. Bush in 1989 and is now celebrated around the world. The significance of May 25 was to recognize the birthday of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. Here is a clip of the famous Bojangles Stair dance — CLICK HERE. . The significance of this dance was not lost on my tap teacher Charles Griffiths, who flawlessly recreated this dance every year at our end of year recital.
