The Workshop Dance Studio is Kemptville’s adult-only dance and fitness studio. We offer a variety of classes designed to challenge your body, sharpen your mind, and leave you feeling energized and recharged. Our dedicated team of specialized teachers brings expertise, warmth, and a whole lot of fun to every class.

BARRE FITNESS

WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 p.m. • • Our Barre is a signature class. It has been carefully designed by Bev McArthur to strengthen and tone your whole body. This is achieved through a dynamic fusion of pilates, weights, bands and stretching. Doing small movements and isometric holds will work your build lean muscle and improve flexibility – leaving you feeling energised.

Broadway Fitness

MONDAYS @ 11 a.m. • • Step into the spotlight with Ariane Sockett! This high-energy dance fitness class features brand new choreography every week — so whether you’re a regular or joining for the first time, you’ll never feel lost or left behind.

Each class includes a warm-up, full-body dance fitness workout, and cool-down. No theatre experience needed — just bring your energy and prepare to have fun!

Circuit Power – Senior Fitness

THURSDAYS @ 11 a.m. • • This 12-stations workout was designed by our Mobility Fitness Specialist, Nancy Miller-McKenzie. You will work on balance, strength, coordination, cardio, flexibility and more. You will be using bands, weights, medicine balls, boxing towers, steppers, barres, ax throwing, peddlers and more.

Line Dancing

BEGINNERS-TUESDAY @ 6:30 p.m. • • Easy, fun, challenging (and set to modern radio music …. not Country!) Line Dancing with Nancy Morgan is both Brain and Body. This enjoyable activity lets you socialize, meet new people, and stay active, all while enjoying modern, non-country music. Wear shoes that allow you to slide a little. Bring your focus for a class where you’ll learn technique, choreography, and improve your coordination and memory. Join us for a session filled with positive energy and the joy of dancing!

Mobility Fitness – Senior Fitness

TUESDAYS @ 11 a.m. • • Another signature class designed by Nancy Miller-McKenzie. Our unique Mobility & Fitness class is designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility for those with mobility challenges. This class aims to restore confidence through personalized attention. A pre-class consultation is necessary for the best experience.

HIIT CARDIO FUSION

WEDNESDAYS @ 6:30 p.m. • • HIIT Cardio Fusion blends high-intensity interval training with core-strengthening exercises. It includes full-body, multidirectional movements designed to challenge your entire body with short bursts of activity and brief rest periods. With modifications available for all levels, you’ll engage in traditional core exercises that leave you feeling powerful and energized.

PILATES – Floor Mat Class

THURSDAYS @ 5:30 p.m. • • Pilates with Bev McArthur is the perfect antidote to a busy week. This mat-based class focuses on core strength, flexibility, and body awareness through precise movements and mindful breath control.

Suitable for all fitness levels — whether you’re brand new to Pilates or returning to your practice, you’ll leave feeling longer, stronger, and genuinely restored.

Cardio & Weights

WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS @ 11 a.m. • • Mary Moore brings a vibrant and engaging workout designed specifically for adults 55+. With her infectious personality and expert guidance, every class is fun, safe, and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve balance, or simply stay active – Mary’s class delivers results with a smile.

Tap Dancing (3 levels)

Various Times & Days • • Come and take a tap class with Hoofer Nancy Morgan. These classes are designed for experienced dancers who want to learn technique, patterns and choreography – Recital-Free! Nancy Morgan has been teaching tap dancing to adults since the ’80s and believes that everyone can tap dance. Tap 1 – one year experience; Tap 2 – under 5 years experience; Tap 3 – over 5 years experience.

Offering 3 different levels and 8 classes each week. Watch for the Learn To Tap Dance Workshops offered throughout the year for the ultimate beginner tap dancer.

Zumba

MONDAY @ 6:30 p.m. • • Zumba with Karen Angel-Gagnon is a workout that mixes low-intensity with a calorie-burning dance fitness party. This total body workout brings everything needed to boost your energy. It strengthens your balance. It also improves your flexibility. A Zumba class gives you a serious dose of awesome every week!
